SINGER RECOVERING

Dan Haseltine (l.) and Jars of Clay

Jars of Clay lead singer Dan Haseltine had an unanticipated heart procedure last week after experiencing a “cardiac event” on July 25.
He’s at home recovering, and the band canceled its Aug. 2 performance at the SoulFest music festival in New England. Singers Christopher Williams and Justin McRoberts filled in doing a set of Jars of Clay tunes.
“Gonna hibernate for a while,” tweeted Haseltine. “I’m on a heart healthy diet which I think includes low sodium, low fat, and low politics in general.”
The band’s upcoming record and fall tour are still on schedule, according to reports.
